Communities we serve
Psychiatric Care for Kings Point Residents
Kings Point is a gated, age-restricted community of 7,200 condominium units (realtor-sourced) in unincorporated west Delray Beach, running 1.8 square miles west of S Military Trail between W Atlantic Ave and Linton Blvd. Its last decennial count as a census-designated place was 12,207 residents — 2000 Census — of whom 88.1% were 65 and up with a median age of 78 (2000 Census). The CDP was dissolved before 2020, so those figures are the last official ones on record rather than a current tally; what has not changed is the character of the place: six entry gates, with Monaco and Flanders gates manned 24 hours, three clubhouses, two 18-hole golf courses, and a community built for Northeastern retirees who, as the 2012 documentary Kings Point followed among its residents, fled the cold for Florida and stayed for decades.
For psychiatric care, the honest picture is proximity, not scarcity. Directory searches in October 2026 surfaced no psychiatry practice with an address inside Kings Point, Villages of Oriole, Lakes of Delray, or Huntington Pointe — but they did surface a real outpatient psychiatry corridor on Linton Blvd and S Military Trail, roughly 1–1.5 miles from the gates, along with Fair Oaks Pavilion, a 53-bed adult psychiatry unit at Delray Medical Center. Health Haven's Delray Beach office sits in that same corridor, on Linton Blvd itself — serving patients from Kings Point, minutes from the gates, plus telehealth across Florida.
Getting here
Health Haven Delray Beach — 5258 Linton Blvd, Ste 102, Delray Beach, FL 33484 · (561) 285-3623
The office at 5258 Linton Blvd, Suite 102 is on the belt's own southern corridor. From Kings Point, head south on S Military Trail or on Jog Rd to Linton Blvd — or, from Kings Point's southern sections, straight onto Linton. It's roughly 1.5–2 miles and about 5–10 minutes (est.).
The same corridor carries the rest of the neighbourhood's daily traffic: Delray Medical Center sits at 5352 Linton Blvd, a few street numbers from our suite, and the psychiatry practices that surfaced in directory searches sit along Linton Blvd and S Military Trail at addresses such as 4600, 4800, 5352 and 5440 Linton Blvd and 16158, 16244 S Military Trl, plus 15300 Jog Rd on the western edge. Residents already drive this road; the office is on it.
Neighbouring communities served are a short hop the same way: Lakes of Delray, on Atlantic Ave between Military Trail and Jog Rd, and Huntington Pointe are each about 2–3 miles out, roughly 5–10 minutes (est.); Villages of Oriole, off Atlantic Ave toward Florida's Turnpike at the belt's far edge, is about 3–4 miles, roughly 10–15 minutes (est.).
Worth knowing for this population: the Kings Point Bus System runs seven days a week, roughly 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM, free to residents and guests and handicap accessible, and Lakes of Delray listings cite courtesy and county bus service — many neighbours simply don't drive to appointments. That's one reason telehealth is part of the offering here, though Health Haven does not provide any transport service of its own.
Care available
Here's what we offer at our Delray Beach office.
- Psychiatric evaluations — a careful first look at what's going on, so we can talk through next steps together.
- Medication management — prescribing and ongoing check-ins, adjusted as we learn what fits.
- Therapy — talk-based care, one on one, at a pace that feels manageable.
- Addiction recovery — support for substance use, wherever you are in the process.
- Telehealth — appointments from home anywhere in Florida, as long as you're physically in Florida at the time of your appointment.
Care here is shaped around what an older community actually brings in: late-life depression, anxiety, grief and loneliness, and the strain of caregiving. Health Haven sees patients 12 and up (children 8 and up by referral), accepts most major insurance plans — see /insurance — and has seven Spanish-speaking providers on the team practice-wide. For seasonal residents who spend part of the year up north, the rule is simple and worth stating plainly: telehealth requires you to be physically in Florida at the time of your appointment.
Living here
Kings Point's centre of gravity is its own campus life. Three clubhouses anchor the community, two 18-hole golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. carry the fairways, and there is a state-of-the-art theatre along with indoor and outdoor pools and a natatorium. Days run through the East End Cafe and the Monaco Bistro, and the community's own free bus system moves residents between the gates seven days a week. Kings Point Golf & Country Club's address is 7000 W Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33446. The place has a documented national profile too: the Oscar-nominated 2012 documentary Kings Point was filmed among its residents, depicting retirees well into their 70s and 80s who had lived there for decades, and a Movoto housing guide (a realtor source) describes a large seasonal share of residents coming from the Northeast, New York in particular — the seasonal pattern itself is corroborated by the documentary record.
Health Haven also serves the neighbouring 55+ communities that share these corridors: Villages of Oriole, a former CDP with 4,758 residents (2000 Census) and 3,742 condominiums, townhomes and villas off Atlantic Ave near the Turnpike; Lakes of Delray, about 1,400 condo units developed by Lennar Homes 1982–1994, with a renovated clubhouse, resort-style pool and spa and roughly 30 clubs; and Huntington Pointe, a 24/7 guard-gated community of 1,096 units with a 62,000-square-foot renovated clubhouse and a 600-plus-seat theatre. Together the four communities hold roughly 13,400 age-restricted units (unit sources, not census).
Why patients come
Kings Point residents aren't in a care desert — a corridor of psychiatry practices sits on Linton Blvd and S Military Trail about 1–1.5 miles from the gates, and Fair Oaks Pavilion, a 53-bed adult psychiatry unit, sits at Delray Medical Center on the same road. The reason patients from Kings Point choose Health Haven is that our Delray Beach office is in that exact corridor, on Linton Blvd, roughly 5–10 minutes (est.) from the gates — on the road residents already use. In one practice you'll find evaluations, medication management, therapy and addiction recovery, with care matched to an older community's real needs, and on the days the drive doesn't work, telehealth from home.
- In the corridor you already drive — 5258 Linton Blvd sits on the same road as Delray Medical Center, about 5–10 minutes (est.) from the Kings Point gates.
- Care matched to the community — late-life depression, anxiety, grief and loneliness, and caregiver strain, alongside care for adults of every age.
- One practice, a full range — psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy, addiction recovery, and telehealth.
- Telehealth from home — for the days making the drive isn't practical, available anywhere in Florida as long as you're physically in Florida at the time of your appointment.
