Mohammad Asim Nisar

Dr. Mohammad Asim Nisar is Health Haven's lead psychiatrist, overseeing hospital consultation services. He is a triple board-certified psychiatrist — Adult Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine — with more than 15 years of experience. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, and completed a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, as well as a fellowship in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at NYU.

Dr. Nisar provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and emphasizes modern, evidence-based treatment, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a non-pharmacological intervention. His areas of focus include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

He is actively involved in medical education and consulting, and his practice stays informed by current research, particularly in schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and dementia.
