Telehealth
Telehealth Psychiatry in Fort Myers, Florida

Fort Myers sits on the Caloosahatchee River in Lee County, closely tied to Cape Coral across the water, with Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Bonita Springs along the coast. The area has a mix of year-round residents and seasonal visitors, and the bridges and main roads can get congested, especially in winter.
Southwest Florida has also been through major storms that disrupted homes, jobs and routines. Stress, anxiety and low mood after upheaval like that are common, and getting care can be hard when roads and schedules are unsettled.
Health Haven is a Florida psychiatric practice offering telehealth statewide. If you are looking for a telehealth psychiatrist in Fort Myers, our providers can see you by video for evaluation, medication management and therapy.
How telehealth with Health Haven works
Here is how most patients start. Go to Find a provider, open a few profiles and check that telehealth is shown. Choose one, then book online or call, depending on how that provider takes appointments. For the visit itself, use a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone. Pick a spot with a good signal, such as a room close to your router. You do not have to stay at a desk: the key is privacy and a stable connection. After the visit, your provider will talk with you about how often to meet.

What telehealth covers, and what needs an in-person visit
By video you can typically do: psychiatric evaluation, medication management and therapy, with the providers whose profiles show telehealth. Your provider decides what kind of visit fits your care.
Needs an in-person visit: TMS and Spravato. These are in-person only: we offer TMS only at our West Palm Beach and Okeechobee offices, and Spravato at our West Palm Beach, Okeechobee and Stuart offices. They cannot be done by telehealth. Anything else your provider wants to see you for in person, they will tell you.

Frequently asked questions
Does Health Haven have an office in Fort Myers or Cape Coral?
No. We have no office in Fort Myers or Cape Coral. Care is by video visit, and our offices are listed on the Locations page.
Can I get care by telehealth after a hurricane or other disruption?
Telehealth can be easier than traveling when roads or schedules are disrupted, as long as you have a device and internet. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
I live in Fort Myers part of the year. Can I use telehealth?
Yes, while you are in Florida. Telehealth visits require you to be physically located in Florida at the time of the appointment, so seasonal residents can use telehealth during the months they are here. Visits cannot take place while you are in another state; schedule appointments for when you are back in Florida, or call (863) 261-8354 to plan follow-up around your travel.
Can I see someone for trauma or anxiety by video?
Yes, many of our providers treat anxiety and trauma-related conditions, and visits can be done by telehealth. Check each provider's profile.
