Think of it as the appointment minus the highway. You choose a provider on our Find a provider page and confirm the profile shows telehealth, since not every provider offers it and some see patients by telehealth only. Then you book through the profile (a few providers ask you to call instead). On the day, you open the secure video link on a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone. Needs an in-person visit: TMS and Spravato. These are in-person only: we offer TMS only at our West Palm Beach and Okeechobee offices, and Spravato at our West Palm Beach, Okeechobee and Stuart offices. They cannot be done by telehealth. Anything else your provider wants to see you for in person, they will tell you.

Health Haven does not have an office in Key West or anywhere in the Florida Keys. Care for Key West patients is by video visit. If your provider recommends something that must be done in person, they will tell you where it is offered.

Can I see a psychiatrist in Key West by telehealth?

Yes. Health Haven offers telehealth to patients across Florida, including the Keys. You meet with your provider by video from a phone, tablet or computer. Use our Find a provider page and look for profiles that show telehealth.

Do I have to travel to the mainland for treatment?

For most care, such as evaluations, medication management and therapy, you may not need to. The exception is TMS and Spravato, which are in-person treatments: TMS is offered only at our West Palm Beach and Okeechobee offices, and Spravato at our West Palm Beach, Okeechobee and Stuart offices. Your provider can talk with you about whether either is a fit.

What if my internet connection is unreliable?

Use a device with a camera and microphone, a private space, and a trusted network rather than public Wi-Fi when you can. If the video drops during your visit, call us at (863) 261-8354 and we will help you reconnect.

Does Health Haven have an office in the Keys?

No. We have no office in Key West or elsewhere in the Keys. Visits for Keys residents are by video.
