Telehealth
Telehealth Psychiatry in Sarasota, Florida

Sarasota is a Gulf coast city with an arts-minded downtown, barrier islands such as Siesta Key and Lido Key, and neighborhoods stretching inland toward Fruitville and Southgate. Bradenton and Manatee County sit to the north, Venice and North Port to the south, and the area has a mix of year-round residents, retirees and seasonal visitors.
That mix means many people looking for care want something flexible: a visit that works around seasonal travel, mobility limits, or a long drive along US-41 or I-75. A video visit can fit around all of those.
Health Haven is a Florida psychiatric practice with telehealth available statewide. If you want a telehealth psychiatrist in Sarasota, our providers can see you by video for evaluation, medication management and therapy.
How telehealth with Health Haven works
The steps are short. Open Find a provider, view profiles and look for telehealth. Choose a provider and book online, or phone if that provider prefers it. At your appointment time, join the secure video link on a phone, tablet or computer. Sit somewhere comfortable and private; a porch or a bedroom with the door closed works as well as an office. Test your camera and microphone beforehand, and if a caregiver helps you with technology, ask them to be nearby for the first call. Your provider will plan follow-up with you after the visit.

What telehealth covers, and what needs an in-person visit
Most ongoing psychiatric care can happen over video: evaluations, follow-up medication visits and therapy sessions with providers who offer telehealth.
Some treatment cannot. TMS and Spravato are given in person: TMS at our West Palm Beach and Okeechobee offices only, and Spravato at our West Palm Beach, Okeechobee and Stuart offices. Your provider will help you decide what makes sense.
