Telehealth Psychiatry in Tallahassee, Florida

Telehealth Psychiatry in Tallahassee, Florida

Tallahassee is Florida's capital, in Leon County, in a part of the state where the landscape turns hilly and wooded and the next big city is a long drive away. Between the Capitol, Florida State University, Florida A&M University, Tallahassee State College and the neighborhoods from Midtown to Southwood, there are many students, government workers and families who need flexible care.

Surrounding counties such as Gadsden, Wakulla and Jefferson are more rural, so reaching a psychiatric provider may mean a long drive. Telehealth allows people in town and across the Big Bend to meet with a provider without leaving home.

Health Haven is a Florida psychiatric practice and offers telehealth statewide. If you are searching for a telehealth psychiatrist in Tallahassee, our providers can see you by video for evaluation, medication management and therapy.

How telehealth with Health Haven works

A visit is booked provider by provider. On Find a provider, open profiles and look for the telehealth label. Book online or call, as the profile directs. For the appointment, use a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone, in a private spot. If you are a student, a library or a shared apartment may not be private, so choose carefully; if you work for a state agency, consider using your own device and network rather than a work one. If you live outside town, check your signal before the visit and choose the room with the best connection.

What telehealth covers, and what needs an in-person visit

Telehealth at Health Haven covers psychiatric evaluations, medication management and therapy, depending on the provider. Each provider's profile shows how they see patients.

TMS and Spravato are the in-person services. TMS is available only at our West Palm Beach and Okeechobee offices, and Spravato only at our West Palm Beach, Okeechobee and Stuart offices. Neither is available by video. If your provider thinks either may help, they will talk it through with you.
