Psychiatric Care for The Acreage and Loxahatchee, at Health Haven's West Palm Beach Office
The Acreage is one-acre-and-larger lots, horses behind the fences, and wooded roads that dead-end in the dark — well-and-septic country with a Loxahatchee mailing address (ZIPs 33470, 33412, 33411). Same community, two names, 41,654 people, and the Indian Trail Improvement District has been grading roads and minding canals here since 1957.
Directory searches turn up telehealth-only listings for this area, not an in-person psychiatry office on these unpaved roads. So the honest answer is the drive: Health Haven sees Acreage and Loxahatchee patients at 4400 N Congress Ave, Suite 203, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 — about 16–19 miles southeast of mid-Acreage.
Care there covers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy, Spravato, TMS, and addiction recovery — patients 12 and up (children 8 and up by referral), in a community where 22.5% are under 18. Six Spanish-speaking providers serve the 22.2% of The Acreage that's Hispanic or Latino. Telehealth works from home for the visits that allow it, as long as you're physically in Florida at appointment time. Most major insurance plans are accepted.

Getting here
The main route runs local roads south to Seminole Pratt Whitney Rd — past Seminole Ridge High — then east on Southern Blvd (US-98/SR-80) and north on N Congress Ave. From mid-Acreage that's about 35–45 minutes off-peak, 55–75 minutes in weekday rush; from the Loxahatchee Groves side, about 30 minutes off-peak.
The alternative is Royal Palm Beach Blvd south through Royal Palm Beach to Okeechobee Blvd east, then Congress Ave north. Both routes share the same traps: the first miles out of a neighborhood are often unpaved and slow, heavy rain closes roads some years, and all eastbound traffic funnels onto a few arterials — Southern, Okeechobee, Northlake.
That's why telehealth is a practical necessity here in storm season, not just a convenience. When flooding shuts a canal road, you can still keep the visit from home — as long as you're physically in Florida at appointment time.
Care available
All of it happens at the West Palm Beach office — 4400 N Congress Ave, Suite 203 — the roughly 35–45-minute drive east from The Acreage and Loxahatchee. Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy and addiction recovery happen there, and so do the treatments that need staff in the room: Spravato (esketamine) and TMS. The rest can often happen by telehealth from home, as long as you're physically in Florida when the appointment starts — no need to leave the property for every check-in.
We see patients 12 and up, and children 8 and up by referral. That lines up with what's out here: Osceola Creek Middle and Seminole Ridge Community High sit in the middle of a community where 22.5% of the CDP is under 18, and the younger ones are at Acreage Pines, Pierce Hammock or Saddle View. Appointments that fit around the school run matter out here, and we plan for that.
Six Spanish-speaking providers are on the team. Most major plans are accepted, and the full list is at /insurance. With 92.7% of Acreage households owner-occupied and well-and-septic upkeep on every homeowner's list, insurance questions come up early — ask us. Office phone: (561) 285-3623. Practice main line: (863) 261-8354.
Living here
The Acreage and Loxahatchee are one community with two names: 41,654 people spread over 34.27 square miles, on lots that mostly run 1.14 acres and up. Density has moved from 947.8 to 1,215.4 people per square mile since 2010, which is still spread out enough that the neighbors announce themselves by animal — horses, peacocks, the occasional emu or alpaca over the fence.
Water management is the backdrop. The Indian Trail Improvement District, created by the Florida Legislature in 1957, keeps canals and drainage ditches open, runs the pumping and grades the roads across 110-plus square miles and 17,000-plus developed lots. In a wet year, some of those roads close for a while and plans get rewritten. Homes run on well water and septic tanks, which means a maintenance list of its own.
The school run points to Acreage Pines, Frontier or Saddle View for the little ones, Loxahatchee Groves Elementary or Western Academy Charter for K–8, Osceola Creek Middle and Seminole Ridge Community High for teenagers. Nights are dark on unpaved roads. At the western edge, Westlake has gone from 906 people in 2020 to an estimated 9,042 — young families in a town where 28.1% is under 18, sharing the same corridors and the same schools.
Why patients come
Directory searches out here mostly answer with telehealth-only listings and brands that market to The Acreage and Loxahatchee by name. The nearest in-person psychiatry sits 15–25 minutes south in Royal Palm Beach and Wellington. People who want one practice holding psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy, Spravato and TMS together make the drive east to the West Palm Beach office. Telehealth covers the in-between visits from home, which matters on the days rain closes local roads.
A lot of the need is young. In the CDP, 22.5% of the population is under 18 — Seminole Ridge and Osceola Creek students — and Westlake at the western edge is 28.1% under 18, with new families arriving into a building boom. Some people want a real room to sit in rather than a screen; some need Spravato or TMS, which cannot happen over one. Spanish-speaking providers are available.
