Psychiatric Care for Royal Palm Beach
Royal Palm Beach is the Village of Parks, and the name holds up: over 100 parks, with Commons Park's 163.5 acres at 11600 Poinciana Blvd — a redeveloped golf course with a disc golf course, kayak and bike trails, a great lawn and an interactive fountain. The village is growing fast, too: 42,477 residents, up from 38,932 in the 2020 Census.
Its commercial life runs along Southern Blvd and Okeechobee Blvd — corridors that serve the whole western county. Follow them one step east and psychiatric care is at Health Haven's West Palm Beach office, 4400 N Congress Ave, Suite 203: psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy, Spravato (esketamine), TMS and addiction recovery.
Thirty percent of the village is foreign-born and 32.9% speak a language other than English at home — six Spanish-speaking providers are on our team. Patients 12 and up come here, children 8 and up by referral, in person at the West Palm Beach office or by telehealth from home, as long as you're physically in Florida at appointment time.

Getting here
There are two straightforward routes from the village. Southern Blvd (US-98/SR-80) east to N Congress Ave north runs about 22–28 minutes off-peak and 35–50 minutes in weekday rush. Okeechobee Blvd (SR-704) is the other: east, then north on Congress Ave. Either way it's 11–13 miles from the village center to the office.
The slowdown is at the SR-7 intersections with Southern and Okeechobee, where eastbound traffic from the whole western county stacks up at rush. Even so, the drive fits the pattern Royal Palm Beach already lives with — the village's average commute is 30.7 minutes.
Royal Palm Beach families juggling school schedules — 22.5% of the village is under 18 — can skip the drive when the visit doesn't need the office: telehealth is available anywhere in Florida, as long as you're physically in the state at appointment time. Call (561) 285-3623 to talk it through.
Care available
Royal Palm Beach has psychiatric practices of its own — offices on S State Rd 7 and Royal Palm Beach Blvd — and plenty of residents see them. The reason to drive east at all is breadth: about 25 minutes down Southern Blvd, the West Palm Beach office holds psychiatric evaluations to sort out what's going on, medication management for prescribing and dose-checking, therapy for the talk-based work, Spravato (esketamine) and TMS for depression that hasn't responded to standard treatment, and addiction recovery support. One door, the whole range.
Patients 12 and up are seen here, and children 8 and up by referral. In a village where 22.5% of residents are under 18, that reaches from the academies at Royal Palm Beach High and the halls at Crestwood and Western Pines middle schools on up.
Six providers on the team speak Spanish, which matters in a village where 30.7% of residents are Hispanic or Latino and 32.9% of residents speak a language other than English at home.
Most major plans are accepted; the full list is at /insurance. Telehealth runs statewide as well, so a follow-up can happen from a kitchen table in Crestwood or Village Walk — you just have to be physically in Florida at appointment time.
Living here
Saturday belongs to Commons Park on Poinciana Blvd: 163.5 acres where the old nine-hole course now plays as disc golf, a kayak launch out to the water, a great lawn that swallows any crowd, the interactive fountain, the sports center with its café, and trails that loop the whole thing.
This is the village that named itself for parks — 100-plus of them. Preservation Park brings a skatepark and wetlands trails, Veterans Park brings the amphitheater and splash fountain, and the Pines Natural Area opens 772 acres at the edge of town. Between the Green Market & Bazaar and the annual Seafood Festival, the calendar stays busy.
Weeknights are school nights — Royal Palm Beach High runs IB, Business, HVAC, NJROTC, Medical Sciences and STEM academies, with Crestwood Middle and Western Pines Middle behind it, plus games at the Bob Marcella Baseball Complex. Then it's home to Crestwood or Village Walk, or out toward the pines. At 3,431.9 people per square mile this is a true suburb, and any run east means Southern or Okeechobee past the corridors that feed half the western county.
Why patients come
People come for the range. A village where 22.5% of residents are under 18 and 18.9% are 65 or older has needs at every age — and evaluations, medication management, therapy, Spravato and TMS under one roof at the West Palm Beach office beats keeping the pieces straight across separate practices.
Some come for Spanish-speaking care: 30.7% of Royal Palm Beach is Hispanic or Latino, and talking through medication in the language you think in isn't a small thing.
And the corridor runs both ways. Royal Palm Beach is already where the western communities come for services; the West Palm Beach office is simply the next stop east on the same Southern and Okeechobee drives people make daily. Follow-ups by telehealth from home in Crestwood or Village Walk cut the trips down — as long as you're physically in Florida at appointment time.
