Communities we serve
Psychiatric Care for Palm Springs Residents
Palm Springs is a Spanish-first village. More than half of households speak Spanish at home, and 51.9% of residents were born outside the United States. Families here have built their lives over decades — the village was incorporated in 1957, and with a median age of 37.2 it remains a young, growing, family community. This is a place where people work hard, look after one another, and expect to be understood.
The honest part: finding psychiatric care you can actually talk to — in Spanish, with a provider who understands where you're coming from — is harder than it should be here. Health Haven's Atlantis office is just a straight drive down S Congress Ave, about 3 miles and roughly 8–12 minutes from the village, and we have six Spanish-speaking providers across the practice. Call us at (561) 285-3623 and we'll help you find the right fit.
Getting here
Getting here from Palm Springs is pretty straightforward: take S Congress Ave straight south for about three miles, roughly 8 to 12 minutes on a normal day. Our office is on John F Kennedy Dr, the medical-office street alongside the HCA Florida JFK Hospital campus (the hospital itself is at 5301 S Congress Ave, Atlantis). If you're coming from the village's west side, head east on Lake Worth Rd or 10th Ave N to Congress Ave, then turn south — figure about 10 to 15 minutes.
One honest heads-up from a neighbor: Congress Ave has a lot of traffic signals, and the hospital campus brings its share of cars in and out. G-Star School of the Arts at 2030 S Congress Ave adds congestion during school hours, so give yourself a little extra breathing room around drop-off and pickup times.
Care available
Here's what you can see us for at the Atlantis office:
- Psychiatric evaluations — a careful first look at what's going on, so we can think through next steps with you.
- Medication management — starting, adjusting, or continuing psychiatric medication with ongoing check-ins.
- Therapy — talk-based support in a calm, unhurried setting.
- Addiction recovery — help with substance use, from wherever you are in the process.
Six Spanish-speaking providers practice at Health Haven, so care in Spanish is available, and telehealth appointments are available anywhere in Florida as long as you are physically in the state at the time of your appointment. The practice sees patients 12 and up, and children 8 and up by referral, and most major insurance plans are accepted — see our [insurance page](/insurance) for the plan list. With six Spanish-speaking providers, Health Haven welcomes Palm Springs households who speak Spanish at home — families at the Village Center Complex on Cypress Ln and along the Lake Worth Rd corridor — to psychiatric care a short drive south.
Living here
Palm Springs runs on ordinary, good days. Village Hall and the Village Center Complex at 226 Cypress Ln sit at the middle of it: a splash pad that fills with kids, a playground, courts, a round of miniature golf, and the public library just steps away. A trip for books turns easily into an hour at the park. The village was incorporated on July 4, 1957, and is one of the county's densest municipalities — a young, working, family community with a median age of 37.2, bordered by Greenacres and Lake Worth Beach, and grown by about 42% since the 2010 Census.
The schools mark the edges of town. John I. Leonard Community High School, with about 3,278 students, sits on 10th Ave N along the northern edge; Kirklane Elementary is on Purdy Lane. G-Star School of the Arts, a public charter high school for film, animation, and performing arts at 2030 S Congress Ave, brings about 1,100 students to the village's main road. And immediately to the south lies Palm Beach State College's Lake Worth campus — its largest and oldest, at 114 acres.
Why patients come
Many families in Palm Springs want care in the language they live in, and at Health Haven six providers speak Spanish — in a village that is 62.1% Hispanic and 51.9% foreign-born. Getting there is simple: our Atlantis office is about 8–12 minutes straight down S Congress Ave, beside the JFK Hospital campus families already know. We offer a full range of care in one place — evaluations, medication management, therapy, and addiction recovery — so you don't have to piece it together across town. And when an appointment doesn't need the office, telehealth lets you meet with us from home anywhere in Florida.
